So, no. I won’t be doing commissions on Deviantart anytime soon.
This has been a warning to anyone considering doing commissions on Deviantart.
NOT COOL.
- I’ve been doing commissions for over 7 years, without the help of anyone’s useless middle man program. My prices are already set ridiculously low because buyers don’t have much pocket money to spare in the first place!
- Now DA wants to cut in and skim 20% off the top? Sure, I could charge more so I don’t lose any money, but that means the commissioners are paying more for no logical reason!
- Oh, and why would you even involve the POINT SYSTEM? Seriously. This little redundant. I don’t want anything to do with the point system. I’ll stick to using REAL currency, thank you.
In conclusion? I really hope there’s no poor soul out there that’s falling for this bull. So I’m spreading the word. Beware working artists and commissioners! DA wants to suck the life out of you!
